Maite has been in the trade for 30 years. Before co-founding Nexxus Iberia, he managed the office of the English fund 3i in Spain. He has participated in more than 45 transactions in Spain, including two IPOs. Previously, she worked for six years at Booz Allen Hamilton as a strategy consultant in Mexico, United Kingdom, Spain and Portugal. Maite holds an MBA from Columbia and a Cum Laude degree in Finance and Political Science from Boston College.

She is currently an independent director at Cellnex, where she is also a member of the audit, risk management, sustainability and remuneration committee. In addition, she also sits on the Advisory Boards of ING Spain, Grupo Antolin and SONAE in Portugal.

She has been an independent director at Repsol and Prisa in the last four years and a member of the audit, remuneration and sustainability committees. Additionally, she was an independent director and chairwoman of the audit committee of Grupo Lar and a member of the Advisory Board of Aon España.

She chaired ASCRI (Spanish Venture Capital Association) from 2010 to 2012 and is a member of the Instituto de consejeros-Administradores (ICA), the IWF (International Women’s Forum), Women Corporate Directors and former president of Level 20 in Spain to support the presence of women in the Private Equity and Venture Capital sector. Recently, she has been appointed Patron of the Junior Achievement Foundation.

She has a beagle (Maggie) that she takes care of with great care, a small winery in the Rioja Alta and enjoys traveling with her family and friends.
